Careers fair at Richmond School and Sixth Form College

Rob McCartney, Associate, and Ebonee Stokes, Architectural Assistant, enjoyed spending the day at Richmond School and Sixth Form College’s careers’ fair to chat to students from Years 9 to 13 who are preparing for their GCSEs and A-levels.
Rob McCartney, Associate at Harris Irwin, said: “The careers fair was superbly organised, and students were able to visit a wide range of employers. The event offered a great opportunity for us to connect with students considering their further education options and there were several students who were very interested in pursuing a career in architecture. These events really help foster the development of new designers, technologist and architects and spark interest at an early stage.”
“Following the careers fair, we are looking forward to visiting the school and college to run dedicated workshops with students who are considering architecture and design as a career. This will be followed up with work experience opportunities for students in 2026.”
Ruth Hamer, Careers Adviser at Richmond School and Sixth Form College, said: “Harris Irwin regularly support our students with work experience and we were delighted to welcome them to our Careers Fair for the first time. It was great to see so many students visiting their stand and having the opportunity to learn more about the different design and technical roles available in the field of architecture.”
