Women in Construction Week

As Women in Construction Week draws to a close and we approach International Women’s Day on 8th March, we are reflecting on and celebrating our incredible team of women at Harris Irwin Architects. Representing 42% of our workforce, our women play a pivotal role in the success of all areas of the practice, bringing their skills to the design and technical teams, HR, finance, administration and the board room. We are immensely proud to showcase their fantastic work and hope their expertise, dedication and teamwork will inspire more women to join the construction industry.
‘Give to Gain’ is the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day which encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration. Emphasising the power of reciprocity and support, the campaign shows how through giving through donations, knowledge, resources, education, and mentoring, contributing to women’s advancement helps to create a more supportive and interconnected world. The ‘Give to Gain’ pose shows solidarity, with cupped hands out front universally signifying the act of giving and receiving.
Clare Cameron, director, said: “I am proud to work for a practice who are so supportive of women in architecture, it’s important to me that we all play a part in making the construction sector more inclusive and diverse’.
2026 is the 115th year of International Women’s Day and it continues to offer a global opportunity to focus on gender equality and inclusivity. Further information about International Women’s Day and Women In Construction Week is available at https://lnkd.in/dGX7T8X and WIC Week® – NAWIC.ORG
