Year 12 Work Experience

This week we welcomed Leen to the practice for work experience.  A Year 12 student at Carmel Sixth Form College, Leen has not only impressed the team with her enthusiasm and professionalism but also with her design aptitude.

Rob McCartney, Associate at Harris Irwin, said: “Leen has engaged with a range of activities, focusing on a case study to develop a design for a care home.  Her ability to interpret the brief, pick up new software and apply her own creativity has resulted in a fantastic piece of work.

“Hearing how much Leen has valued the experience and the impact it has had on her personal development and interest in architecture reminds us why these opportunities are so important.”

“Leen is the first of three students who will spend time with us over the coming months, and we are looking forward to hosting students from Teesdale School and Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College.”
